last halloween, we toyed with the idea of dressing you up as a goose (mommy's nickname for you early on), mommy as Mother Goose and daddy as Father Time(???). daddy vetoed that idea pretty quickly, so we went with giraffe (and safari people). your long, skinny physique (and mommy's groupon to gap), made giraffe (which you currently call "fah") the perfect costume for your first halloween.
THEN sometime after halloween, daddy came up with the BEST halloween costume idea EVER of you going as Goose from Top Gun, himself going as Maverick and mommy going as "the chick" (played by Kellie McGillis aka "Charlie"). mommy was ready to make it happen, but daddy wanted confirmed plans; he was not going to dress up just for trick or treating in our neighborhood!
even though your jacket wasn't even close to accurate with the movie, it was only $5.50 at Once Upon a Child which was a STEAL considering they retail for $50! we found something similar to your jacket for daddy and went from there. all in all, the costumes turned out great, but mommy and daddy both agreed that the mustache MADE your costume, followed by your t-shirt mommy found at Children's Place!
we were able to get LOTS of photos this halloween, mostly because mommy got the dates wrong for Aunt Cheri's halloween party, so we were all dressed up with no place to go Sunday since Aunt Cheri's party was on Monday (Halloween)! it was all good though, because we got two nights of photos AND nana and papa heisserer, mimi and uh-cul got to see you all dressed up! then we3 went out to cappy's for greek salad, cheese bread and a calzone. you LOVED the cheese bread and calzone, but why wouldn't you?? you're a Zoodsma!! :)
on halloween night (costume take 2), we went to Aunt Cheri's to eat dinner and to the nearby neighborhood to trick or treat (="tick-oh-tee"). you said it, but still didn't quite "get it". you walked up a few sidewalks and went to a few doors with a lot of coaxing, but that was it. mommy and daddy never really thought about how your peanut and almond allergy would effect your trick or treating, but we'll have to come up with something to do with the candy you can't have by next halloween. maybe mommy will make you candy/treats that you can have and you can buy/trade in candy your can't have for mommy's homemade, nut free treats??
without further ado, here are the favorites from halloween 2011, take one!

take two: halloween night!
all the kids before trick or treating
............c's first house.......................and the beautiful couple! ;)
