another month has passed and you are doing new things everyday! you…

…weigh 21.6lbs—holding strong at the 5^th percentile. mommy’s okay with that and the pediatrician is too, but we need to start working on you using utencils and drinking out of a cup!

….wear sunglasses because you know you look cute when you do and because you want to wear them!

…are finally able to pull toys behind you!

…point to objects in “Goodnight Moon” as we read it each night while we have “snuggle time”.mommy and daddy have to both be there for snuggle time so we can sandwich you in, otherwise you roll away.

...still have crazy hair days

…start your LAST week of swim class next monday and mommy is SO GLAD it’s over. she’s tired of writing down EVERY single thing you eat and EVERY time you urinate and defecate!

…walk forward and backward, stand on your tiptoes and occasionally “dance”

…are REALLY into cars and trucks and lawnmowers. you label the cars and trucks on our walks and while we are in parking lots.

…say “b-sss” with a little half a head nod after we sneeze and many other new "words". you say "apple" like a pro! but call cows "boo" (which is for "moo", i think).

…like sitting on the rug in your room while mommy reads you stories. some of your current favorite reads are Dr Seuss's ABC, Bears on Wheels, Go Dog Go and Old Hat New Hat!

…will cuddle with mommy or daddy to avoid having your clothes changed, but mommy allows it because your hugs are so few and far between! it’s cute but conniving at the same time—you hug us with the biggest smile on your face—like i’m totally getting out of it.

…come find mommy in the kitchen after daddy gets you ready for bed –sometimes with a diaper on, sometimes not.

…love walking on concrete barefoot. aunt chenelle would be so proud! ;)

…have your own potty but have yet to use it. we got you one because you were consistently (for a week) saying “poo poo” in the car on the way to swim class and then pooping as soon as we got out of the car.

...were spending WAY too much time in the duck aunt nikki got you, so mommy confiscated it while you were napping. don't worry--the duck is having a great time living in daddy's office closet!

...babble strings of syllables together--just talk talk talk--sprinkling in words we understand amongst the jargon we haven't the slightest clue you are telling us!

...are starting to enjoy coloring, especially when markers and/or highlighters are involved!

…wave at people, airplanes and helicopters (you hear fly over the house), vehicles, lawnmowers, boats and pets. here you are waving at the garbage truck during our 17 month photo shoot!
