time is flying! before we know it, you'll be in preschool part time, leaving mommy to wonder what to do with herself without her baby boy around.
you only continue to grow, change, explore, develop and mature and we are SO SO happy to have you in our lives. oh how we love you, carter...goose...sweet boy...big brother...and our "great musician" (as you like to refer to yourself)!
nowadays, you...
...had a GREAT christmas! you play with the microphone Aunt Cheri got you EVERY.SINGLE.DAY! if your love for music continues, we might need to ask uncle don to build you a stage for your third birthday gift!
...were VERY MUCH in love with Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Jingle Bell Rock this year. mommy and daddy stopped obliging your requests to hear those songs once we put away all the Christmas decorations!
...LOVE painting on your new easel and having your very own dry erase board like daddy has in his office!
...rang in the new year in Orlando, visiting Magic Kingdom and SeaWorld (for the first time).
...went to your first circus thanks to nana and papa
...watch tv when mommy feeds natalie. some of your favorite shows at the moment are Jake and the Neverland Pirates, WordGirl, Curious George and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. you'll have to find new shows once mommy gets around to canceling cable!
...are still very much into music, especially Rainbow Connection, ZZ Top (Cheap Sunglasses), Bad to the Bone, Hi My Name is Joe and Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Jingle Bell Rock, which we are trying to phase out since it's JANUARY!
...took a little while to warm up to being a big brother, but you occassionally say "Carter hold her" and will say "look at that big/beautiful girl"
...sleep with one stuffed animal of your choice at nap and night--usually it's either your dog (that we took your monthly pictures with during your first year) or the blue beanie (teddy) bear that Willie (our neighbor) gave you
...get all torn up from the grass, so we bought you long socks to help combat the problem
...have come a long way with feeding yourself and are much more efficient using the spoon.
...know the three rules for dinner: 1) sit like a big boy/on your bottom 2) have a quiet voice (and hands) and 3) eat your food, then you get to watch zz top on the big tv/play with daddy on the bed/take a shower/bath
...still REFUSE to look at the camera for pictures, which AGGRAVATES mommy to no end!! or you insist on having your camera when mommy has her camera and then your camera is in all the pictures!
...just recently started taking baths again, but only in the "big tub" in mommy and daddy's bathroom
...have the most beautiful eyes (on a boy) in the world!!
...are not required to eat Paleo 100%, like mommy and daddy started just over a week ago, but you are required to try everything we make.
...CAN HOP!!!!
...and...
...have the best laugh!
