21 months
carter brian,
at 21 months you...
...say "luh ooo" (= i love you)
...climb up and down the couches and the dining room chairs with ease. and if you can't reach something, you find something you can stand on so you can reach whatever it is you are after!
...finger painted for the first time and didn't hate. mommy needs to buy some new art supplies for you!
...had a wonderful second Christmas!
...require 18-24 month pants for your long legs and 18 month sized clothes for everything else. mommy needs to run to once upon a child and pick you up some summer-type clothes and some light pajamas. right now, your belly's busting out of your 12 month clothes!
...LOVE to spin!! today (a week after 21 months technically), i saw you spinning around your stuffed dogs the way daddy spins you around!
...like pregnant mommy because you get all kinds of treats, like chips, french fries from campbell's and ice cream!
...peed in the potty intentionally the other night. but that's as far as we've gotten. mommy plans to focus on potty training you once she enters her second trimester and doesn't require a 2 hour nap each day just to function!
...say "uncle don" and "uncle dennis" but also say "uncle daddy" sometimes just because you think it's funny!
...went to DISNEY for the first time!!
...took your first trip to the eye doctor. you did FABULOUSLY and the only two things the doctor said was 1) we need to shampoo your eyelashes and 2) you only see about 1/2 as far as the eye doctor would like you too, but we don't have to worry about lenses just yet!
...amaze us with new words every day!
...love "bee bah's cane" (=grandpa's cane) so much that you have a toy at home you use as a makeshift cane around the house!
...like brushing your teeth
...have new favorite books, including "no no book" (=What Do You Do When a Monster Says BOO!), "fsh" (=One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish), "bill book" (=Let's Build) and "sqeek book" (=There's A Mouse About the House)
...continue to love Elmo, so mommy is considering an Elmo inspired 2nd birthday for you!
...and...
...told the WHOLE FAMILY that you were gonna be a big brother soon! :)
